Whisky is thought of as an old man’s drink. And with good reason, given the gender and age distribution of its drinkers.
But Arkwright’s (a shop and online retailer from Wiltshire, England) is reaching out to the opposite demographic: young women. The shop is hosting a ‘girls only’ sampling evening on 2nd December, where women are invited to try some single malt whiskies in a relaxed environment. Willie Tait of Whyte & Mackay will present whiskies from Dalmore, Jura and Fettercairn and will demonstrate how best to nose, taste and enjoy whisky.
