Dalmore has announced the release of the world’s most expensive whisky ever – the Dalmore Trinitas 64. The distillery has released only three bottles, each with a price tag of £100,000.
Two of the bottles have already been sold to private collectors and the third will be on sale at The Whisky Show in London at the end of October.
Dalmore is owned by Whyte & Mackay, which is now a subsidiary of the Indian owned company United Spirits.
The whisky is so expensive because it contains some of the rarest and oldest single malt whiskies in the world, blended together by Richard Paterson (Master Blender for Whyte & Mackay). The youngest whisky included is 64 years old and some have been maturing in the Dalmore distillery warehouses for over 140 years.
